Find 6000 Mg Vitamin C in Answers
Megadose Vitamin C found out pregnant? I was trying to knock out the flu with 6000 mg of Vitamin C a day for 3 days last week. Well, this morning, I took a pregnancy test because I was late today and it turns out I am pregnant. Will the Vitamin C hurt the baby? Is there anyone that was taking megadoses either in pregnancy or before they knew and know how they turned out? Also, just to be clear, no, despite something someone suggesting I knew and was trying to induce a miscarriage, I wasn't even aware I was pregnant and would not do that.

The Raenizzler replied: "I recently read that the only vitamin you want to avoid in large doses during pregnancy is Vitamin A. You shold be totally fine."

Timid Women Rarely Make History replied: "No. Your body doesn't make or store vitamin c,therefore it needs to be replenished everyday. I personally don't believe it's possible to OD on this particular vitamin. I think you'll be fine."

bostontransplant replied: "You should be fine. But now go back to regular suggested dosage."

sunshinyorange replied: "Vitamin C is a water soluable vitamin, meaning that what your body doesn't use, it excretes in your urine. You can't build up toxic stores of it in your body like you can with certain other vitamins. No worries. :)"

Baby #1 Due Early December! replied: "The vitamin C thing is a myth. I asked my doctor because I was taking it to avoid an oncoming cold. What the first answerer said about Vitamin A however is correct, so you're fine!"

God Bless our Troops! replied: "Vitamin C is water soluble which means if you take more than you need, it will be flushed out of your body with waste (urine or feces.) Actually most people DO take too much Vitamin C. You have absolutely nothing to worry about! Congratulations."

Can taking very high amounts of Vitamin C harm you? My friend is trying to induce a miscarriage, she says there's no heart beat anymore and the baby is dead but the doctor told her to wait and her body would pass it naturally.. So she told me earlier she's going to be taking 500 mg's of vitamin C every hour for up to 6000 mg's.. Is this going to hurt her?? I don't think so, she's the type that wants to do it her way... what happens if you take a lot of it??

Amauri R replied: "no survy nmate take that vit c all you want"

Phil A replied: "What's wrong with her? She should listen to her doctor. Has she asked any doctor what could possibly happen if she takes megadoses of vitamin C ? I believe that 6,000 mgs is not going to do too much harm if it's only for a short while, in fact as the human body quickly metabolises vitamin c she could take up to 10,000 mgs a day. After that she could develop stomach upsets, diarrhea and indigestion. Prolonged megadoses of 6,000 mg a day could lead to kidney problems or ostioarthritic symptoms. A reason for her taking large doses of vitamin c is that massive ingestion of vitamin c ( 6,000 to 10,000 mgs a day ) has been shown to cause miscarriages in women up to 8 weeks pregnant."

Hardy replied: "Ya.. She can take more of vitamin c because the excess amount will get out of her body from urine.."

Msean replied: "I have read that there is a cancer risk from long term high doses of Vitamin C."

How much vitamin C should a 34 year old woman have daily? I'm on several medications and disabled. I get sick easily. I tried 2 to 3000 mg. a day a couple of weeks ago and ended up with green pee and green diarrhea. Don't know if it caused it or was cleaning something out of my system, but I quit taking it. A friend of mine told me it was too much, and I have another friend who takes 6000 Mg's. a day.

Katherine W replied: "Really, just take a multi-vitamin and that will have 100% of what you need in a day. The rest just gets flushed down the toilet. Ask your doctor if you have questions."

Does anybody know some websites I can find these vitamins in these or half the dosages? Vitamin C (ascorbate) 6000 mg Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) 800 mg

lizzie replied: "Go to eniva.com these are awesome nutritional supplements."

how can i get my period to start? (10 pts!)? first: i am NOT pregnant. i've taken two tests just to be sure. okay. the question is, how can i get my period to start? i had twins in may and my period only returned in october, so i may still be irregular. i had a november period at the expected time (ended on Thanksgiving), but it's January 5 and i haven't had one since. it's making me antsy. i've heard that taking up to 6000 mg vitamin C for a few days can get it to start. does anyone have any ideas? (10 pts to the best answer!)

Chloe Snow replied: "you cant... it will come naturally duh"

xoxogossipgirl86 replied: "it come on it's own time.."

MADDiE replied: "you probably are still irregular from having kids. enjoy not having your period while it lasts!"

winnie replied: "Sometimes some vigorous exercise will bring it on, if you're running late. Or, umm... some sex? Good luck!"

Josh G replied: "I don't think you can force it, except maybe with a high dose of prescription hormones."

lillie.f.baby replied: "you cant force it."

Brandon replied: "Why would u want a period?? Maybe early menoplause, but i'm not a girl so idk"

This Person♄ replied: "Just wait it out and keep a log, see a doctor for questions."

jenny replied: "okay stop stressing about it keep kalm wen u stress it takes longer so dont stress n it will come"

:( replied: "if u stress about it, it wont happen. plus, it can be irregular for years b4 it becomes normal. if u are really worried go see your doctor. i really dont think u can force it to happen. give it some time."

Jane P replied: "It will happen when it happens."

tic-jay replied: "the only thing you can do is wait you could go see the dr who knows they may be able to help"

Rebecca L replied: "Eat as much as you can, it always helps. Gain some weight?"

pinkladies_livelonger replied: "SEX not even joking i didnt get my period for a few months and didnt have sex either. then when i did.. like an hour later i got my period .... i dunno why but it workd lol or you can get on birthcontrol it will regulate it and get it started."

kay_flood replied: "taking that much C will just put a ridiculous strain on your kidneys, and your body won't use more than 500 mg in a day anyway. Your body is taking a while to regulate, stop beating yourself up over it. It can take up to a year after birth to be completely regular again."

Nina replied: "you cant. if you're nursing, it comes less often. good luck."

softballroxx29 replied: "well a sign is if u don't have ur period for a couple months or so... pretty soon it might be over but than again it depends how old u are too... but it will come again and if it doesn't ... u might want to go c a doctor just to be sure.."

wylde95 A.R.T. replied: "I really don't know of any way, and I don't know if the vitamin C thing will work. But are you breast feeding? That can cause your period to be irregular or nonexistent for the whole time you breast-feed. mine came back normal, but for some women they don't get it until done breast feeding. Anyway, talk to your doctor, and if he/she says everything is fine with you, then I wouldn't worry about it."

TinyMe replied: "There really isn't a home remedy that does the job well. There are certain hormones that your doctor can prescribe that can start your period. Incidentally they are the same pills that women take for fertility. One is progesterone. I had to take it when my period wouldn't start after years on depo. It wasn't a pleasant experience for me but everyone is different. I def suggest seeing your doctor for a blood test. Blood tests are more acurate than a home pregnancy test. Also, the blood test can check to see if your other hormones are in check. Personally, I would just wait it out if it doesn't drive you crazy. It takes about 3-4 cycles for your period to become completely normal after giving birth. Because of your twins, your hormones might be in overload more than usual."

xovolleyballox94 replied: "wtf!! why do you want it back!!!!!!"

how much should i exercise? i am 121lbs 5foot2inches, 16 and a female, i want to be 105-110lbs i am taking eggwhite protien by jay robb once or 2times a day walking 15minutes before i get ready for school no fast food no candy swet or soda taking chronium/picolonte in the morning essentail fatty acids vitamin c 3000-6000 mg and enzymes *no candy, sweets**

serene e replied: "Everyone should be doing some sort of exercise 30 minutes, 4-5 days a week. To lose weight, you really need to exercise about 45 minutes a day, even walking swiftly will be great. Remember it's eating better + exercising more = weight loss!!"

grnidarmygirl replied: "Walking is going to help take weight off but not quickly, doing things like cardio, push ups, crunches, sit ups are all things that are going to help lose weight, and depending on how much E.F.A. you are taking you could maybe take more. A person should take about 1,800 mg of omega 3 fatty acids a day, that will also help. Drink more water. Get on a non-synthetic multi-vitamin."

C R replied: "Make sure you still are getting plenty of nutrition. Drink lots of water. That helps to carry waste (that can slow down the metabolism) out of your bloodstream and kidneys. Is there a time perhaps in the evening where you can fit in 15-30 mins of aerobic activity such as walking fast, dance aerobics, swimming or riding a bicycle?/ Good luck!! The smallest number of pounds are often the hardest to lose."

Dave L replied: "Everyday is good. 30 minutes to 1 hour if it's hard excerise. Good luck."
